THE ISLAND OF BATZ

Ile-de-Batz is a French commune which, since 1789, has administered the entire territory of the island of Batz, formerly known as Isle or Île de Bas.

These two entities, the commune and the island, are located close to each other and are linked by a public shipping service to the commune of Roscoff, in the Pays de Léon, in the far north of the of Finistère, in the Brittany region.
